Carolyn Schlie Femovich, the senior associate athletic director at Penn, was chosen to replace the league's executive director, Connie Hurlbut, who resigned in January to become director of basketball operations with the WNBA.
Lafayette's sports inform ation department thinks that with Brian Ehlers and Stefan Ciosici coming back, the Leopards are the only team in NCAA history to return two conference Players of the Year to the same team.
Valter Karavanic, Bucknell's junior forward, was selected to last season's GTE Academic All-America first team by the College Sports Information Directors of America. He's the fourth Patriot League player to earn such an honor. Karavanic has a 3.8 GPA in the always-easy major of electrical engineering.
