MONTREAL (AP) _ Swiss rookie Michel Riesen scored three goals as the Edmonton Oilers beat the Montreal Canadiens 7-5 in an exhibition game Tuesday night.

Dan Lacouture, Mike Grier, Alain Nasreddine and Bill Guerin also scored for the Oilers (1-1), who had five goals on only 15 shots on Montreal starting goalie Jeff Hackett.

The Canadiens (0-3) were 5-for-11 on the power play, with Brian Savage scoring twice and Eric Chouinard, Jim Campbell and Oleg Petrov adding goals.
