CLEVELAND (AP) _ Chris Carr scored 10 points in the fourth quarter to spark the Chicago Bulls to an 83-74 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday night.

Carr hit a 3-pointer with 2:10 remaining to put the Bulls ahead to stay, 74-72, and Chicago went on to snap a four-game losing streak and win its 15th of the season. The Bulls had lost their previous 13 road games.

Carr, who scored all 16 of his points in the second half, made one of two free throws with 1:34 remaining to make it 75-72.

Elton Brand, who led Chicago with 23 points and 14 rebounds, extended the lead to 77-72 by grabbing an offensive rebound and scoring with 56 seconds left.

Lamond Murray led Cleveland with 16 points.

The Cavaliers' Shawn Kemp scored only seven points, 10.9 under his average, and fouled out for a league-leading 13th time.

The game turned during the fourth quarter when Cleveland went 8:31 without a field goal. After a 15-footer by Danny Ferry gave the Cavaliers a 64-59 lead with 11:44 to play, the Cavs got only five free throws until Andre Miller drove to the basket and scored with 3:13 remaining. That pulled Cleveland to 71-69.

Seconds later, Ferry hit a 3-pointer from the wing, but Carr countered with his 3-pointer to give Chicago a 74-72 advantage.

Rookie forward Ron Artest scored all 18 of his points in the first half to spark Chicago to a 43-40 halftime lead. The rookie had just three points Wednesday night in an 86-81 home loss to the Cavaliers.

Earl Boykins, a 5-foot-5 guard, gave Cleveland a late first half spark by hitting all three of his shots from the field for seven points in six minutes.<

Notes: Cleveland had won the last seven meetings between the teams. Chicago avoided being swept by the Cavaliers in consecutive seasons for the first time. ... Chicago held a 62-39 rebounding advantage. ... Chicago's last road victory was against the Los Angeles Clippers on Feb. 6.
