SAN DIEGO (AP) _ Todd Hundley hit a grand slam to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 10-2 victory over the San Diego Padres on Saturday night.

Hundley's first-inning blast was Los Angeles' ninth grand slam of the season, breaking the franchise record set by the 1952 Brooklyn Dodgers.

The Dodgers added six runs in the sixth inning.

Eric Gagne (4-6) benefitted from the early runs and limited the Padres to one run and four hits in six innings. He struck out seven and walked one as he won his third straight decision.

Matt Clement (13-17) took the loss and is second in the majors is losses behind Philadelphia's Omar Daal, who has 19.

Clement allowed nine runs and six hits in 5 2-3 innings. He walked four and finished the season with 125 walks, breaking the Padres' record of 122 set by Steve Arlin in 1972.

Clement retired the first two batters, but walks to Gary Sheffield and Eric Karros were sandwiched around Shawn Green's double. Hundley followed with his second grand slam of the season.

The Dodgers added six runs in the sixth on Alex Cora's two-run double, Tom Goodwin's two-run single, an RBI double by Sheffield, and an error by Padres first baseman Ryan Klesko.

The Padres scored in the first inning on a triple by Eric Owens and Klesko's groundout. Damian Jackson added an RBI double in the seventh.

Notes: Xavier Nady, the Padres second-round pick in June, had a pinch-hit single and scored in the seventh to become the 18th player since the draft was instituted in 1965 to go directly to the majors. Nady joined the club on this homestand after signing a major league contract on Sept. 17. ... Nady became the 56th player to appear in a game for the Padres this season, tying the major league record set by the 1915 Philadelphia A's. ... Hundley, whose other grand slam this season was on May 6 against Houston, has hit seven in his career. ... Clement's four walks gave him the major league lead, one better than Los Angeles' Chan Ho Park. ... The Padres' first-inning run snapped a streak of 23 1-3 scoreless innings against Los Angeles. ... Dodgers 3B Adrian Beltre's bruised foot kept him out of the starting lineup for the third straight game.
