SAN JOSE, California (Ticker) -- The San Jose Earthquakes' league-record home unbeaten streak ended after fifteen games as the Colorado Rapids recorded a 2-1 victory at Spartan Stadium.

Rapids forward Junior Agogo recorded both Colorado goals in the win, handing the Earthquakes their first home loss since August 7th of last year.

The Rapids jumped out to an early lead in the sixth minute of play when forward Junior Agogo blasted a shot past Earthquakes goalkeeper Joe Cannon for his eighth goal of the year.

Defender Matt Okoh played the ball off to Agogo, who blazed past San Jose defender Dan Calichman and launched a blistering shot on goal. Cannon managed to get his hands on the attempt, but the momentum of the shot carried the rolling ball just inside Cannon's left post.

The Earthquakes drew even in the 62nd minute of play when Dario Brose capped off a wild offensive flurry with his third goal of the year. Iranian midfielder Khodadad Azizi started the rush with a cutting run past Colorado defender Marcelo Balboa.

Azizi's initial shot was stopped by goalkeeper David Kramer, who also turned away Azizi's follow-up attempt with a kick save. The rebound, however, fell to the feet of Brose at the top of the box, who slotted the ball home to knot the score at one goal apiece.

Colorado narrowly escaped falling behind in the 81st minute. San Jose midfielder Wojtek Krakowiak beat his defender along the edge of the penalty area and hammered a shot on goal. Krakowiak's blast beat Kramer, but the ball struck the crossbar and deflected out of play.

Agogo tallied his second goal of the night in the 89th minute of play. Paul Bravo's redirection of a Matt Okoh pass started the play, landing at the feet of Anders Limpar on the side of the penalty area. Limpar evaded a host of San Jose defenders before sending the ball across the goal mouth. Sliding along the grass, Agogo put the ball past Cannon for the game-winner.

The goal is Agogo's team-leading fifth game-winner for the Rapids, and Limpar registered his fourth decisive assist.
