FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) _ Mamadou Diallo scored two goals and Carlos Valderrama had three assists to lead the Tampa Bay Mutiny past the Miami Fusion 3-2 Saturday night.

The victory avenged the Mutiny's 4-1 loss to the Fusion on Wednesday.

Diallo's second goal and 15th of the season gave Tampa Bay a 2-0 lead at the 48th minute. Valderrama broke through the Miami defense and sent a pass to Eric Quill on the left wing, where Quill centered a pass to Diallo, who headed it in a shot from the 6-yard box.

Miami cut the deficit to 2-1 in the 68th minute when Jay Heaps kicked in a shot inside the 6-yard box off a corner kick from Martin Machon.

But Tampa Bay struck back at the 76th minute on Kevin Anderson's goal. Anderson received a pass from Valderrama and unleashed a 25-yard shot into the upper left-hand corner of the Fusion goal.

Andy Williams scored Miami's second goal at the 90th minute.

Tampa Bay remains in second place in the Central Division with a 9-8 record and 27 points. Miami is third in the Eastern Division at 6-8-4 and 22 points.

The Mutiny took a quick lead when Diallo scored at the eighth minute of the match. Mutiny midfielder Steve Ralston centered a pass to Diallo, who headed in a 10-yard shot past Fusion goalkeeper Nick Rimando.

Miami had its best first-half scoring opportunities in the final minutes as Henry Gutierrez and Welton took open shots that were stopped by Tampa Bay goalkeeper Scott Garlick.

Both teams had players ejected in the first half and were forced to play 10 a side.

Miami defender Tyrone Marshall was red-carded at the 31st minute for fouling Diallo from behind. Tampa Bay's Chad McCarty was sent off nine minutes later after fouling Welton from behind.
