WASHINGTON (AP) -- Chris Albright and Raul Diaz Arce scored second-half goals Saturday to give D.C. United a 2-0 victory over the Dallas Burn.

Albright broke a scoreless tie in the 65th minute. From the top of the goal box, he shook off a push by Burn midfielder Chad Deering and headed in Jaime Moreno's free kick from 35 yards out on the right side.

The goal was Albright's second goal in as many games, his third of the season and his second against Dallas.

The struggling United had won only one of its previous nine games, beating the visiting Burn on May 27.

Diaz Arce added an insurance goal in the 90th minute, keeping the ball on a 3-on-2 break and floating a shot over goalkeeper Matt Jordan.

The goal was Diaz Arce's first point in seven games since being acquired in a trade from Tampa Bay on May 26.

Dallas, which came into the game on a 2-0-2 streak, fell to 0-7-2 on the road.

John Kreis, the Burn's leading scorer with nine goals and seven assists, failed to record a point for the second consecutive game. Before being blanked in a scoreless tie against Kansas City on Wednesday, Kreis had goals in five straight games and points in seven consecutive contests.

Kreis barely missed giving Dallas a lead in the eighth minute, when his shot from the top of the penalty area eluded D.C. goalkeeper Tom Presthus and ricocheted off the left post.

Deering almost tied the game in the 76th minute when teammate Sergi Daniv fed him on the doorstep. Deering tried to knock a header in, but D.C. defender Jeff Agoos, on the goal line, cleared the ball away.
