The Flyers shook off the sobering effects of seeing center Keith Primeau motionless on the ice after an opening-minute hit to edge the Penguins 2-1 Tuesday. The win gave Philly a 4-2 series victory and sent the Flyers into the Eastern Conference finals.

Quick-strike Devils blow past Leafs
The Leafs didn't shoot. The Devils didn't wait to shoot. Monday's result was a 3-0 New Jersey victory and Toronto's elimination. Goalie Martin Brodeur faced a modern-day record-low six shots and the Devils scored just 18 and 25 seconds into the first and second periods, respectively.

Stars shine bright;

The West is set. Dallas goalie Ed Belfour -- 32 saves -- continued his home dominance over San Jose as the Stars eliminated the Sharks with a 4-1 win in Game 5. Dallas will have home-ice advantage in the Western Conference finals against the Colorado Avalanche.

Detroit was desperate, but Colorado was better. Just when it appeared the Wings would mount a challenge Friday, Shjon Podein scored a third-period insurance goal to give the Avs a 4-2 Game 5 win and a 4-1 series victory. The Avs will play the Stars or Sharks.
