The Leafs didn't shoot. The Devils didn't wait to shoot. Monday's result was a 3-0 New Jersey victory and Toronto's elimination. Goalie Martin Brodeur faced a modern-day record-low six shots and the Devils scored just 18 and 25 seconds into the first and second periods, respectively.
