TUCSON, Arizona (Ticker) -- Starting pitchers Mike Morgan and Jim Parque each struggled on the mound as the split-squad Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago White Sox combined for 31 hits in an 11-11 tie, which was called after 10 innings. Morgan was touched up for four runs and six hits with just two strikeouts over 4 2/3 innings for Arizona. Parque fared much worse, yielding six runs and 11 hits with only one strikeout in six innings. Danny Klassen went 4-for-6 to help the Diamondbacks belt 19 hits and Matt Williams finishing with a team-best three RBI. Williams smacked his third homer in the fifth inning and Turner Ward rapped his third in the seventh. Josh Paul collected three RBI and finished 3-for-5 with Jose Valentin and Liu Rodriguez each homering for Chicago. Rodriguez's shot came off Dan Plesac in the ninth when the White Sox scored twice to tie the contest.
