TEMPE, Arizona (Ticker) -- Jim Edmonds, Troy Glaus and Garret Anderson drove in two runs apiece as the Anaheim Angels defeated the San Diego Padres, 9-5, in a Cactus League game between split squads. Ben Molina hit a solo home run as part of a three-run second inning off San Diego starter Kevin Walker, who also allowed three hits and walked three in 1 2/3 innings. Derrick Turnbow threw 2 1/3 scoreless innings to pick up the victory in relief, although he walked three. Troy Percival, who saved 31 games last season, pitched the first inning and retired the side. Ruben Rivera had two hits and drove in two runs and Ryan Klesko and Ed Sprague each had an RBI for San Diego, which tagged Kent Mercker for five runs -- two earned -- and seven hits over the third and fourth innings. Luis Andujar took the loss after he was roughed up for four runs and six hits in 1 2/3 innings.
