Andre Miller
Miller should tame the young Clips core.
DID THEY GET THE POINT?
A minority view on Andre Miller: great numbers, but the Cavs didn't get very far with him running the floor. Our view: Miller's court vision, savvy and selflessness will give direction and leadership to a young, loaded roster. Potential problem: 'Dre, Lamar Odom, Elton Brand and Michael Olowokandi can all seek max cheddar next summer. So this team's success will be determined by whether they play one for all, or all for No.1.

STARTING FIVE
Every NBA team (even the other one in LA) would take this really young, really talented roster in a heartbeat -- and pony up the cash it'll take to keep it intact.

Scouting Report Index

Elton Brand, PF: 18.2 ppg/11.6 rpg. Going once, going twice ...
Lamar Odom, SF: Played only 29 games because of injuries/discipline
Michael Olowokandi, C: Since when does 11.1 ppg/8.9 rpg equal $80M?
Eric Piatkowski, SG: Year after year, we ask the same question: Why?
Andre Miller, PG: He makes it official: LA's now a two-team town

The bench
BENCH
It's only a matter of time before Quentin Richardson cracks the starting lineup. With injuries, Corey Maggette and the rookies get expanded roles.

Olowokandi (Nigeria) averaged 7.1 points more after All-Star break.

FREEWHEELIN' WITH WALTON
On paper, the best Clippers squad ever. Hope it's not toilet paper.
