RUSTON, La. (AP) -- Ayana Walker had 23 points and nine rebounds
as No. 8-ranked Louisiana Tech defeated Rice 85-54 in the Preseason WNIT for its 28th consecutive home
victory.
With Walker scoring eight points in a 15-0 run, Louisiana Tech
(2-0) led 34-18 at halftime.
Cheryl Walker added 12 points for Tech, making eight of 10 foul shots. She also had six rebounds.
Jennifer Riggs led Rice (1-1) with eight points.
