Challenged by her coach to be more involved, Chamique Holdsclaw responds with career-high 30 points.

Washington closed the game with a 15-2 run to get the victory before an announced sellout attendance of 19,093 -- the league's largest crowd this season.

Holdsclaw shot 12-for-18 from the field and helped the Mystics defense get a total of 16 steals and force 22 turnovers.

One day after interim coach Darrell Walker told Holdsclaw to get more involved in the offense, she scored the team's first nine points. Holdsclaw hit her first four shots and controlled the ball in the final minutes while the Mystics were rallying.

Washington (10-12) scored 28 points off the turnovers. The Mystics stepped up their pressure defense in the second half and appeared to wear down Indiana (5-16). The Fever had just one field goal in the final 6:18, and went scoreless for the final 3:11.

Nikki McCray had 17 points for the Mystics, including seven during the game-ending run. Murriel Page added 11, and Vicky Bullett 10.

Alicia Thompson led Indiana with 18 points, and Danielle McCulley added 14.

The Fever, who lead the league in 3-point shooting, were just 8-for-23 from behind the arc.
