INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) -- DeLisha Milton scored 17 points and Lisa Leslie 16 as the Los Angeles Sparks defeated the Phoenix Mercury 76-57 Saturday to remain the Women's National Basketball Association's only undefeated team. Milton scored six points during a 15-0 run early in the second half to put Los Angeles ahead 45-33. The Sparks led by at least 10 the rest of the game. Ukari Figgs added 15 and reserve Clarisse Machanguana a career-high 10 for Los Angeles (4-0) before a crowd of 6,349 at the Forum, the largest of this season's three home games. Michele Timms had 11 and Bridget Pettis 10 for Phoenix (3-2). The Mercury reserves outscored its starters 30-27. Phoenix made just 17 of 62 shots, 27.4 percent: 9-for-31 in the first half and 8-for-31 in the second. After Brandy Reed scored to open the second half and give Phoenix a 33-30 lead, Figgs began the Sparks' spurt with a 3-point basket, which was followed by Milton's back-to-back baskets and Leslie's jumper. Milton and Leslie each scored again before Mwadi Mabika concluded the run with two free throws. The loss was the Mercury's sixth in a row at the Forum. The game also marked the return of former Sparks coach Linda Sharp to the Forum. Now a Phoenix assistant, Sharp was Los Angeles' first coach, but was fired after losing seven of 11 games to begin the inaugural 1997 season. She had been out of coaching until being hired by the Mercury on March 9. | ALSO SEE WNBA Scoreboard RECAPS Los Angeles 76 Phoenix 57
