Judging by your response to the latest Berman Files poll to give Manny Ramirez a good nickname, Page 2 readers seem eager to lift Boston's "Curse of the Bambino."
"The Latino Bambino" was an overwhelming winner to describe the Red Sox slugger, picking up 1,833 (40.5 percent) of the 4,521 votes cast from Thursday to Friday.
"Manimal" was a distant second with 478 (10.5 percent) tallies, 1,355 votes behind the top choice.
Rounding out the top five were "Ribbi Ramirez" (398 votes, 8.8 percent), "The Manny, the Myth, the Legend" (342 votes, 7.5 percent) and "The Man" (335 votes, 7.4 percent).
Page 2 editors agreed with readers, and preferred the poetic "Latino Bambino."
ESPN nickname guru Chris Berman chose "So Manny RBI, So Little Time" for Ramirez's new moniker.
Now the question is, can Ramirez pitch?
