ST. LOUIS (AP) _ Chris Pronger had two goals and an assist and Brent Johnson and Reinhard Divis made 16 saves in the St. Louis Blues' 4-0 exhibition victory over Chicago on Friday night.

Al MacInnis had a goal and two assists and Pierre Turgeon added a goal and an assist in the exhibition opener for both teams.

Chicago, playing its first game under coach Alpo Suhonen, scratched high-scoring Tony Amonte and many other top players.

Johnson, trying to replace Jamie McLennan as the backup to starter Roman Turek, made nine saves in 33:21. Michel Larocque stopped 26 shot for the Blackhawks.

Pronger gave the Blues all the offense they would need when he rushed in from the point and put a shot under Larocque 9:09 into the game while Chicago was two man short. MacInnis and Pronger added power-plays goals in the second period to make it 3-0.
