Question of the day

Grab your NFL schedule and circle the following dates in red ink. According to ESPN's experts, these games are must-see TV.

Which game is the most anticipated on the 2000 schedule?

Mike Golic
St. Louis at Tampa Bay, Dec. 18
Look at how close Tampa Bay was last year to making the Super Bowl without an offense. Warren Sapp, as the Bucs' team leader, will remind the team of that. In Week 16, a lot will still need to be decided in terms of the playoff picture. That game could have a lot to do with which team gets home-field advantage.

Mark Malone
St. Louis at Tampa Bay, Dec. 18
Even if this game doesn't determine which of these teams wins their division, it will send a message between them as to who has the advantage as they race toward the Super Bowl. In all likelihood, they'll face each other in the playoffs.

Marty Schottenheimer
Jacksonville at Tennessee, Oct. 16
Jacksonville is 0-4 against Tennessee, and the Jags are well aware that any road to a championship goes through Nashville.

John Clayton
Dallas vs. Washington, Sept. 18 and Dec. 10
Even tough I'd want to lean toward either Tennessee-Jacksonville game, the injuires to the Jags' offensive line and to Carnell Lake have taken away from those games. As for Dallas and Washington, so many people either love or hate either team. People want to see Daniel Snyder either succeed or fail because of the way he put the Redskins together. People have similar feelings toward Jerry Jones and Dallas. It's a huge rivalry.

Andrea Kremer
Tennessee vs. Jacksonville, Oct. 16 and Nov. 26
It has been a long time since one team has dominated another when they have been of equal caliber. The 49ers dominated the Rams for years, but the Rams were horrible. The Titans and the Jaguars are arguably two of the best teams in the AFC. I would also say Tennessee at Buffalo (Sept. 3) as well because of how their wild-card game ended last season with the "Music City Miracle."

Sean Salisbury
Tampa Bay at Washington, Oct. 1
After a month, you start to see how teams develop. This could be the matchup in the NFC title game. It's a high-powered offense vs. a nasty defense. Both teams could be undefeated or have no more than one loss when they meet.

Merril Hoge
St. Louis at Tampa Bay, Dec. 18
The game is not only a rematch of last year's NFC title game, but it could also define this season's true NFC power. The game could send one team spiraling and the other team vaulting. It's intriguing because of what it can do as far as the rest of the season goes.
