Perfect in the Pac-10

We're coming off two wins against Washington and Washington State. I think these two victories were a huge confidence booster for our team. Although Washington and Washington State aren't as strong this year as they have been in the past, these two victories were huge for us.

Although we beat Old Dominion in our final non-conference game, we were coming off a couple disappointing games at Connecticut and Rutgers and I think we were kind of down on ourselves and a little frustrated. It was fun to finally be able to beat UW and WSU and actually have fun doing it. We all played well and everyone got a chance to play and that was a lot of fun.

This weekend, we're up against USC. The last couple of seasons the Trojans haven't been as good as they've been in the past, but this year they have a couple new freshman who are pretty good and I think it's going to be a tougher game this year. Last season we kind of beat them pretty soundly both places, but this year we're going to have to play pretty well to beat them. They beat Washington and Washington State by about 10 points each, so they can play. Anytime you have USC vs. UCLA it's always a big rivalry and we're looking forward to this game. Hopefully we can come out 3-0 in the Pac-10.

Visualizing the victory

I watched all of the UConn vs. Tennessee game this past weekend and it was pretty much what I expected. I thought the Huskies would win. They're a very good team in terms of how they play together.

Tennessee might have a little bit more talent, but UConn plays so well together. They are very unselfish, they're always looking to make that extra pass and that's what makes them so tough. They aren't out there for themselves; they're just out there to get a win and I think that's what makes them a really good team. Geno (Auriemma) has done a good job coaching them. Pat (Summitt) is obviously one of the best coaches in women's basketball and Tennessee is a great team, but I think UConn's depth just makes them better. When they play again, I'd expect the same result.

As far as making any resolutions for the New Year, I've never been real big on that. I just try and live my life the way it should be lived all year long. I think sometimes people get caught up in New Year's resolutions and they say all of this stuff that they want to do, but they never really do it. So I really didn't make any New Year's resolutions.

I do have goals for this season and goals for my life. For this season, my goal is to win the Pac-10 and hopefully go to the Final Four and do some damage. As far as the rest of my career, I'd like to play in the WNBA and go on to business school.
