WACO, Texas (AP) -- Everything clicked for Colorado. Nothing did for Baylor.

The Buffaloes converted five fourth-down plays, including a fake punt, and showed a balanced and nearly flawless offense Saturday as they pounded inept Baylor 37-0.

"We had a complete game," Colorado coach Gary Barnett said. "We made good decisions and our running game was better than it has ever been."

Mike Moschetti completed 18 of 24 passes for 210 yards and a touchdown for Colorado, turning it over to the second string before the third quarter was even complete.

Baylor lost for the seventh straight time and remained winless in the Big 12.

Colorado (6-4, 5-2 Big 12) built a 17-0 lead before the Bears (1-9, 0-7) ever crossed into Buffaloes' territory.

"Baylor was really struggling so we were never really challenged defensively," Barnett said.

Cortlen Johnson went over left guard untouched for a 4-yard touchdown on Colorado's first possession to cap a 10-play, 48-yard drive.

Later in the opening period, on fourth-and-inches at the Colorado 43, Moschetti connected with Marcus Stiggers on a 57-yard pass down the middle to the Baylor 1. David Andrews carried on the next play for a touchdown to make it 14-0.

Jeremy Aldrich kicked the first of his three field goals to put Colorado ahead 17-0 before Baylor's Odell James, in relief of starting quarterback Jermaine Alfred, ran down the right side for 32 yards to give the Bears a first down at the Colorado 37 with 5:30 minutes left in the half.

The drive stalled, and Baylor missed a 44-yard field goal attempt. The series marked the only time that the Bears crossed midfield Saturday.

"At some point in time, we're going to turn this around and take off," Baylor coach Kevin Steele said.

Saturday wasn't the time.

Baylor, losing for the 17th time in 18 games, had only 114 yards, just 39 in the second half. They were 1-for-13 on third-down conversions.

"The rebuidling process is still rebuilding and it isn't pretty," Steele added. "We are where we are, and we have to plan to get out of here.

"You care and you don't give up. It is not easy."

Colorado made it look easy, amassing a balanced 462 yards -- 228 passing and 234 rushing. At one point in the first half, Moschetti had nine straight completions.

Colorado's third touchdown, a 3-yard pass from Moschetti to Miles Koon, was set up by a fake punt. With fourth down at the Buffaloes 44, the punt snap went to Colorado blocking back Gabe Leonard, who burst through the middle for 29 yards to the Baylor 27.

Seven plays later, Moschetti hit Koon standing in the front right of the end zone for a 3-yard TD. As the clock ran out, Aldrich kicked a 47-yard field goal to give Colorado a 27-0 halftime lead.

Dwayne Cherrington added a 2-yard TD run in the third quarter for Colorado, which took its third victory in the last four games.
