The Hornets are better set than most lottery teams, so getting the No. 3 pick was a true bonus. With Eddie Jones at shooting guard, Elden Campbell in the middle and Anthony Mason returning up front, the Hornets should be back in the playoffs next season. They'd surely have made the postseason in 1999 if it hadn't been for their poor start before the Glen Rice trade. Charlotte's biggest need is a marquee point guard, although David Wesley is an underrated veteran.
