West is the best in All-Star Game

Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson
Allen Iverson shoots over Kobe Bryant.
On paper, the West's size versus the East's speed was a mismatch. That's the way it was on the court, too. Unable to contend with the West's towering trio -- Kevin Garnett and co-MVPs Shaquille O'Neal and Tim Duncan, who combined for 70 points -- the West eased past the East 137-126 in Sunday's All-Star Game as the NBA's youth officially took over in Oakland. The league's new darling, Philadelphia's Allen Iverson, scored a game-high 26 points in defeat.
