RECAP | BOX SCORE | GAME FLOW

LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Lamar Odom scored on a left-handed hook shot with 40 seconds remaining as the Los Angeles Clippers held off the Minnesota Timberwolves 103-96 Wednesday night in their first national television appearance in three years.

Odom had 24 points and 10 assists for his eighth double-double of the season.

Odom's basket over Wally Szczerbiak came with the Clippers clinging to a one-point lead. Odom then blocked a layup by LaPhonso Ellis, drew a foul and made both free throws to put Los Angeles in front 101-96 with 19 seconds left.

Jeff McInnis then stole the ball from Minnesota's Terrell Brandon and Eric Piatkowski hit two free throws to complete a victory in which the Clippers overcame 21 turnovers and 19-of-31 free-throw shooting.

Kevin Garnett led Minnesota with 22 points, but had just one in the fourth. He missed a free throw that would've tied the game with 2:16 remaining.

Piatkowski added 19 points and rookie Darius Miles had a career-high 17 as the Clippers stopped a two-game home losing skid.

Ellis had 10 of his 12 points in the fourth when the Wolves led by seven at the start.

The Clippers opened the fourth with a 14-2 run, highlighted by a 3-pointer by Piatkowski and Odom's one-handed dunk over Garnett, that gave them an 89-84 lead with 7:02 remaining.

Anthony Peeler hit a 3-pointer and Ellis scored five straight to put the Wolves back on top 92-91.

But Miles scored four in a row and the Clippers regained the lead, 95-92, as the Wolves stumbled on three consecutive turnovers, including Garnett's step out of bounds.

Trailing 97-95, Garnett made one free throw, but missed a chance to tie when the second shot hit the rim. Ellis also made one of two for the Wolves' final points. They didn't make a field goal over the final 6:22.

After the game was tied at 69, the Wolves outscored Los Angeles 13-6 to take an 82-75 lead into the fourth quarter. Garnett had six points, including a basket with three defenders on him, as Minnesota briefly took its largest lead of 10 points before two baskets by Sean Rooks brought the Clippers within single digits.

The Clippers led most of the second quarter, thanks to two timely 3-pointers by Piatkowski and some flashy moves by their rookies. Keyon Dooling flew in from the free-throw line for a dunk and Odom passed behind his back to Corey Maggette, who dunked over Garnett.

Notes: Garnett earned his ninth technical foul of the season for protesting a non-call late in the second quarter. ... At halftime, the Clippers donated $10,000 to the Malik Sealy Foundation in memory of the player who was killed by a drunken driver in May. Sealy played with the Clippers from 1994-97 and two seasons with the Wolves.
