DALLAS (AP) _ Michael Finley scored 25 points and Erick Strickland added 19 points and 11 rebounds as the Dallas Mavericks kept up their late-season surge with a 114-106 victory over the Vancouver Grizzlies on Sunday night.

With 38 victories, the Mavericks have their highest total since winning 47 games in the 1989-90 season, the last time they made the playoffs.

Dirk Nowitzki's 16 points, Steve Nash's 13 points and nine assists and Greg Buckner's 12 points helped Dallas win for the seventh time in eight games.

Othella Harrington matched his career high with 27 points, Shareef Abdur-Rahim had 19 and Michael Dickerson 16 to pace the Grizzlies, who lost their sixth in a row.

The Grizzlies held an 89-86 lead with 8:23 left on Harrington's basket. But Strickland's three-point play with 8:08 remaining triggered an 11-1 run capped by Nash's 10-footer, giving Dallas a 97-90 edge with 5:46 left.

The Grizzlies got as close as 108-104 with 58 seconds left on Mike Bibby's 3-pointer. But Finley's basket with 39 seconds to play extended Dallas' lead to six and closed out Vancouver.

Harrington's 14 third-quarter points kept Vancouver close as Dallas took a 78-74 advantage into the final quarter.

Notes:Vancouver has an all-time record of 3-16 against Dallas. ... The Mavericks are 9-1 against the Grizzlies at Reunion Arena. ... The Grizzlies have lost 10 of their last 12.
