MIAMI (AP) -- The Montreal Expos put on a pretty good road show.
Montreal swept its first three-game series on the road in nearly
five years as Fernando Seguignol and Geoff Blum homered to give the
Expos a 7-6 win Sunday over the Florida Marlins.

The Expos last swept a road series of three or more games Aug.
8-10, 1995, at Houston. They did sweep a two-game set in New York
against the Mets in 1998.
"You saw a young, hungry lineup this weekend, and we knew what
our job was," Blum said. "We knew that we had to step up our
games."
Seguignol went 3-for-4, and Blum capped an impressive series by
going 2-for-5 as the Expos pulled to within one game (47-48) of the
.500 mark. Blum drove in nine runs in the three games.
Javier Vazquez (8-5) allowed four runs -- two earned -- and eight
hits in six innings for just his second win in his last nine starts.
The Expos scored three runs with two outs in the fifth against
Jesus Sanchez (6-8) to take a 6-3 lead.
With two outs, Lenny Webster walked and Vazquez reached on a
throwing error by third baseman Mike Lowell that put runners on
second and third.
Milton Bradley knocked in both runners with a single to center
for a 5-3 lead. Wilton Guerrero then doubled to left, scoring
Bradley.
"People need to realize that the Montreal Expos have some good
young players," Bradley said. "They're a team that likes to call
guys up and see how they can perform."
Sanchez allowed seven runs -- four earned -- and 14 hits, two of
them homers.
Blum's solo homer in the sixth gave the Expos a 7-3 lead.
The Marlins scored two in the seventh to pull within 7-6. Mark
Smith hit an RBI double and pinch-hitter Alex Gonzalez had an RBI
single.
Gonzalez advanced to second on a passed ball, and reliever Scott
Strickland walked Dave Berg before ending the inning by striking
out Mike Redmond.
Scott Strickland pitched two perfect innings for his second
save.
"He put the house in order," manager Felipe Alou said. "He
was almost out of bullets, but he got the job done."
Seguignol's solo home run, his third homer of the season, gave
Montreal a 3-2 lead in the third.
"That was a special moment," Seguignol said. "A lot of people
have been nervous ever since I started playing more, so it's nice
to do something like this."
The Marlins tied the game on Sanchez's RBI single in the fourth.
The three-game sweep was the first allowed at home by Florida
since May 19-21 against the Dodgers. The Marlins have lost seven of
their last nine and have dropped two games below .500.
"I can tell you the number of guys who played well on one hand,
and that's not enough to win," manager John Boles said.
Game notes
Seguignol had an error for the second straight game when he
allowed a single by Luis Castillo to go between his legs in left.
On Saturday, Seguignol misplayed a fly ball in right. ... Marlins
RF Mark Kotsay left the game in the fourth inning with lower back
spasms. ... LF Cliff Floyd had fluid drained from his knee Sunday
and missed the game. The Marlins are off Monday, and Floyd is
expected to play Tuesday against the Braves. ... Florida's Luis
Castillo has a 15-game hitting streak.
