BOX SCORE
MESA, Arizona (Ticker) -- Sammy Sosa's seventh spring home run sparked a split squad of Chicago Cubs, who scored six times in the fifth inning and coasted to a 10-4 Cactus League rout of the Seattle Mariners. Sosa's shot was the only hit allowed by starter Gil Meche in his four-inning stint. But Chicago took advantage of sloppy defense in the fifth against rookie Ryan Anderson, who surrendered all six runs, only two earned. Sosa also had the key hit in the fifth, a two-run double. Rick Aguilera struck out two of the three batters he faced in the fifth in relief of Andrew Lorraine, who gave up two runs and three hits in four innings. Carlos Guillen and Brian Lesher each had two hits and an RBI for the Mariners.
