TUCSON, Arizona (Ticker) -- Paul Konerko went 3-for-4 with four RBI, including the eventual game-winner in the bottom of the seventh inning, as the Chicago White Sox edged a split squad of Chicago Cubs, 7-6, in a Cactus League game. Konerko snapped a 6-6 tie with an RBI single off reliever Greg McMichael in the bottom of the seventh. Frank Thomas also went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and Ray Durham hit his first homer of the spring for the White Sox, who overcame an early 4-0 deficit with three runs in both the fourth and fifth innings. Prospect Tanyon Sturtze earned the win despite allowing two runs in the sixth inning to let the Cubs tie it and Bob Howry recorded his first save of the spring by tossing a scoreless ninth. White Sox starter James Baldwin was touched for four runs and six hits over five innings. Eric Young collected three hits and Jeff Reed went 2-for-4 with two RBI for the Cubs, who forged a 6-6 tie in the sixth on Alan Zintner's homer off Sturtze. Cubs starter Todd Van Poppel tossed three scoreless innings.
