SCOTTSDALE, Arizona (Ticker) -- Justin Baughman was 3-for-4 with a homer and two RBI as the Anaheim Angels beat the San Francisco Giants, 8-6, in a split-squad game in the Cactus league. The Angels also beat the Giants, 7-2, in another split-squad game between the teams in Tempe. Baughman, injured last season, keyed a four-run second inning with an RBI single. He is 4-for-11 in six games in his return from surgery to repair multiple fractures in his lower left leg suffered while playing in the Mexican League on November 7, 1998. As a rookie in 1998, the second baseman hit .255 with nine doubles, a home run, 20 RBI and 10 stolen bases in 63 games. Shigetoshi Hasegawa got the win, allowing two hits in two scoreless innings, and Greg Keagle threw the ninth for the save. Starter Ken Hill yielded four runs and four hits in three innings. Barry Bonds stroked a two-run homer and was 3-for-3 for San Francisco. Bobby Estalella also homered for the Giants. Miguel Del Toro took the loss in relief. San Francisco starter Russ Ortiz, who tied for fourth in the National League last season with 18 wins, gave up four runs and six hits in four innings. He has given up nine runs -- eight earned -- and 10 hits with seven walks in 10 spring innings.
