Phil Mickelson caught Woods with a birdie on the first hole and never relinquished his lead on Sunday, shooting a final-round 66 to win the Tour Championship by two shots. It was the first time since his rookie season on the PGA Tour that Woods failed to win a tournament after holding or sharing the 54-hole lead. The win is the fourth this year for Mickelson and his second in Atlanta.
