LONG BEACH, California (Ticker) -- Erin Buescher scored 28 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead 13th-ranked Santa Barbara to its 16th straight victory, 73-63 over Long Beach State in a Big West Conference matchup.

Stacy Clinesworth added 13 points for the Gauchos (21-3, 9-0 Big West), who have not lost since falling at Kansas, 76-73, on December 4.

Santa Barbara led only 31-26 at halftime after shooting 42 percent (14-of-33) from the field. The Gauchos took only five free throws in the opening half, converting two.

UCSB held a slim 44-39 rebounding edge and took advantage of 26 turnovers by Long Beach State.

Rhonda Smith scored 26 points for the 49ers (13-8, 7-2), who shot 40 percent (26-of-65) from the field.
