WITH ROD GILMORE

It was a tremendous, exciting game in which the receivers for both teams put on a show. Taylor Stubblefield had a great game for Purdue. And for Washington State, Mike Bush was much too athletic for Purdue secondary. The outcome came down to the Washington State defense making a fourth-down play at the end after Purdue had recovered an onside kick. It was a big win for the Pac-10; there is no assurance the conference will get another because Oregon has to play a tough Colorado team. The quarterback play, which had been pretty good all season in the Pac-10, has not been very good in the bowl season. Even though Jason Gesser engineered a win for Washington State, he also threw three interceptions.

IT WAS OVER WIN
Purdue QB Kyle Orton's fourth down pass finally fell incomplete. After Orton drove the Boilermakers to the Washington State 22, he threw three straight incompletions and the Cougars ran out the clock to seal the win.
GAME BALL GOES TO
The entire Washington State team. The Cougars reached the 10-win mark for just the third time in school history. Congrats.
