SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Kobe Bryant scored 25 points, including eight
in the last three minutes, to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a
94-87 exhibition win over the Golden State Warriors Sunday night.
Bryant shot 9-of-16 from the field and 7-of-8 from the line,
including six straight down the stretch, as the Lakers (2-4) won
their second straight.
Shaquille O'Neal added 15 points and 10 rebounds in 28 minutes.
He sat out the fourth quarter.
Mookie Blaylock led Golden State with 22 points. He shot 8-of-11
from the field, including 3-of-4 from 3-point range.
Antawn Jamison and Danny Fortson each scored 17 points. Fortson
added a game-best 11 rebounds.
The Warriors were within three at the end of the third quarter,
but Stanislav Medvedenko scored five points and keyed a 10-2 Los
Angeles run at the start of the fourth quarter.
The Warriors closed within two points three times in the fourth
quarter, but Bryant made four straight free throws and a 3-point
play for a 92-83 lead with 1:04 remaining.
