INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) _ Shaquille O'Neal's dunk with 31.8 seconds remaining in overtime broke a tie as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Golden State Warriors 93-89 in the second game of an NBA exhibition doubleheader Thursday night.

O'Neal sent the game into overtime by making the second of two free throws with 1.6 seconds left in regulation after missing his first 10. O'Neal has missed 17 of 19 free throws over the past two games.

O'Neal led all scorers with 21 points while Glen Rice added 17 as Los Angeles overcame a 16-point third quarter deficit to improve to 2-1. Antwan Jamison had 17 off the bench for Golden State (2-3).

The Lakers never trailed in overtime, taking two-point leads on baskets by rookie Devean George and O'Neal, with Jamison responding both times. The Warriors lost a third chance to tie when Tony Farmer missed a six-foot jumper with 11.6 seconds left. O'Neal got the rebound and George made two free throws with 8.8 seconds left to seal the victory.

Los Angeles will face Phoenix on Friday night in its final game at the Forum. The Suns defeated the Miami Heat 115-100 in Thursday night's opening game.

The Lakers are leaving the Forum, their home since 1967, to play in the recently-opened Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles.
