NEW YORK -- Five days after reaching what the players association termed an agreement in principle on a new collective bargaining agreement, lawyers for the WNBA and the union were still working on final details Wednesday. The two sides met Tuesday into the night and resumed meetings Wednesday afternoon. The agreement last Friday beat a deadline imposed by NBA commissioner David Stern who said if the two sides were unable to settle by then, the league would not go forward with a seventh season. Still on hold is the players draft, which was postponed last week. The WNBA season is scheduled to start on May 22.
