INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Kara Wolters scored a career-high 24 points and Stephanie McCarty and Monica Maxwell added 15 apiece as the Indiana Fever defeated the Miami Sol for the second time in five nights, 80-59.

The expansion Fever closed the game on a 35-14 run and notched their first home victory in franchise history. Indiana scored the first nine points of that spurt as Texlin Quinney closed it on a layup with 10:04 to play for a 54-45 lead.

Jamie Cassidy drilled a 3-pointer for the Sol as they closed to 67-57 with 5:01 left, but the Fever left no doubt as they scored 13 of the game's final 15 points to seal the win.

Indiana rallied from a 17-point deficit Thursday at Miami for a 57-54 triumph in the season opener for both clubs. The Sol held a 39-22 lead with 17:31 to play in that game and since that point, the Fever have outscored them, 115-74.

"We finally put together 40 good quality minutes," Maxwell said. "In Miami, they took us out of our offense because we didn't concentrate enough. The coaching staff made adjustments tonight which helped lead to the victory."

"This was a total team effort and everyone is satisfied with their performance tonight," McCarty said. "We did good in stopping their runs and then played well keeping ours together."

Alicia Thompson scored 12 points and Rita Williams added 10 off the bench for the Fever, who shot 50 percent (23-of-46) from the floor and converted 23 turnovers into 24 points. Wolters shot 8-of-12 from the floor, Thompson was 5-of-10 and Maxwell 4-of-8.

"She didn't get off to a real good start, but I was proud of the way that she kept up her intensity and came on strong for us offensively," Fever coach Anne Donovan said of Wolters.

Indiana hit 29 free throws and Miami attempted just 17. The Fever's starters outscored the Sol's, 66-24.

"The Fever took control of the glass, picked up the intensity and pressure," Miami coach Ron Rothstein said. "Ultimately, what I am concerned about is the 24 points scored by the Fever from our turnovers. That was the game right there."

Jamie Cassidy scored 13 points off the bench with Katrina Colleton and Shantia Owens adding eight each for the Sol, who hit just 39 percent (20-of-51) from the field. Cassidy saw playing time with forward Sharon Manning nursing an injured hamstring.

"I don't think we came out very strong," Cassidy said. "I was real nervous, I wasn't expecting to get in. I tried very hard to help the team."
