SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Natalie Williams scored 18 points and had 14 rebounds to lead the Utah Starzz to an 83-74 victory over the Minnesota Lynx on Thursday night.

Starzz center Margo Dydek had seven blocked shots, giving her 202 for her career. Dydek, the first WNBA player with 200 blocks, also holds the league's single-game record with nine blocks against the Cleveland Rockers on Aug. 6, 1998.

Adrienne Goodson, who scored in double figures for the 28th consecutive game, scored 13 points and LaTonya Johnson added 14 for the Starzz (1-1). Five Starzz scored in double digits.

Utah coach Fred Williams said he was pleased that so many of his players had the chance to contribute.

"I would like to go 10 deep -- pretty much the max rotation you can have is nine players getting a lot of minutes," he said.

Kristin Folkl led the Lynx (1-1) with 20 points before fouling out with 1:09 remaining. Katie Smith added 18 and reserve Grace Daley had 11.

Smith, who had a team-record 34 points in the Lynx' season opener on Wednesday night, said she felt frustrated afterward.

"Obviously we didn't play real well," Smith said. "They were able to maintain and pull ahead and finish it off towards the end. They have us a chance to wint the ballgame but we justhad a lot of breakdowns."

The Lynx, who won 73-62 over the Cleveland Rockers in the season opener, said they would move quickly to put the Starzz game behind them.

"We're a very young team and they are steadily getting better," said Lynx coach Brian Agler. "We're going to have nights like we had last night and we're going to have nights like tonight. It's hard to predict that."

The game, played in front of 6,488 fans at the Delta Center, was the home opener for the Starzz.

The Starzz led 36-34 at the half.
