Men's basketball broadcast schedules

Big East
Having the defending national champion UConn Huskies in the conference doesn't hurt, and Syracuse, St. John's, Miami and Georgetown could be tough to beat this season.

Big Ten
Scoonie Penn
Scoonie Penn signifies where he hopes to take Ohio State - the Final Four.
After sending two teams to last season's Final Four (Michigan State and Ohio State) and four squads to the Sweet 16, the Big Ten should be strong again.

Big 12
Part of the reason for the Big 12's decline last year was that it was dominated by sophomores. This year, however, the players are a year older and stronger, indicating that the Big 12 is prepared for a rebound season.

Mountain West
The Mountain West conference may be entering its maiden season, but it will already have the ability to garner a lot of national attention because of three premier teams in Utah, New Mexico, and UNLV.

Conference USA
For such a young league, Conference USA may be as good as any in the country this year. The reason for the conference's improved stature lies with the athleticism and quality at the top, with Cincinnati, DePaul and -- surprise -- Louisville.

Big Ten men's basketball local broadcast schedules
Illinois
Once again Illinois will rely on junior shooting guard Cory Bradford to provide an offensive boost.

Indiana
The Hoosiers have made 12 consecutive appearances in the NCAA Tournament, but have struggled in the Big Ten in the last few years. Losing Luke Recker to Arizona certainly doesn't help the Hoosiers' cause.

Iowa
Former Indiana All-America guard Steve Alford is now a Hoosier rival - he replaces Tom Davis as Iowa head coach.

Michigan
The Wolverines have five talented freshman (sound familiar?) as Michigan attempts to rebound from a season in which they did not even get invited to the NIT.

Michigan State
Five of their top six scorers are back from the Spartans' first Final Four team in 20 years. The co-Big Ten champs set a league mark with 33 victories last season.

Minnesota
Former Gonzaga coach Dan Monson is trying to rebuild the Gophers.

Northwestern
Northwestern is fighting history - the Wildcats have never won 20 games in a season, and have never played in the NCAA Tournament.

Ohio State
Scoonie Penn led the Buckeyes to their first Final Four in 31 years, and is back to try it again.

Penn State
Penn State finished 13-14 last year, but an NIT bid isn't unrealistic.

Purdue
Seniors Jaraan Cornell and Brian Cardinal will try to help this team improve last year's 21-13 mark.

Wisconsin
The Badgers won a school-record 22 games last year, but only scored 32 points in a first-round loss to Southwest Missouri State in the NCAA Tournament.

Iowa St.
The fall to the second division has come fast for the Cyclones, who ushered in the Big 12 era three years ago with a Sweet 16 team. But in each of the last two seasons, Iowa State has failed to reach 16 victories.

Kansas - Men | Women
It seems like eons ago that Kansas has it's five year run of Sweet 16s (1993-1997). This team should be there.

Oregon - Men | Women
This edition of the Ducks boasts perhaps the Pac-10's best perimeter corps, led by the starting trio of Scales, Wright and Jones.

TCU
This is the WAC's most dangerous team and there is no reason why they can't unseat favorites Fresno St. and Tulsa.

USF
At the very least, this team is positioned to rule Conference USA's National Divison for the next two seasons.
