Will we see another Williams sisters reunion in the finals at Wimbledon? One thing is for sure -- neither Williams will be tested in round one.

We know that there will be two new finalists on the men's side since Goran Ivanisevic and Patrick Rafter are not entered in this year's field. In fact, eight prominent players are missing from the men's field -- Ivanisevic, Rafter, Tommy Haas, French Open champion Albert Costa, Gustavo Kuerten, Sebastian Grosjean, Carlos Moya and Alex Corretja. Granted, several of them are better off on clay than the grass.

The depth of the men's field is weakened, meaning fewer interesting first round matches. Here's a look at first-round matches to keep an eye on:

Lleyton Hewitt (1), Australia, vs. Jonas Bjorkman, Sweden
Hewitt is the first Australian to be the top seed at Wimbledon since John Newcombe, so expectations are pretty high. He did not draw an easy first-round opponent. Bjorkman has won his first-round match at Wimbledon four straight years, and he has made at least the third round three of the past four years. In 2001, he took Roger Federer to two tiebreakers in a three set loss.

Marat Safin (2), Russia, vs. Cedric Pioline, France
In 1997, Pioline was runner-up at Wimbledon. In 1999, he made the quarterfinals. Pioline has won his first-round match at Wimbledon six of the past seven years. Safin has been bothered by back trouble and his road to the quarterfinals last year had several bumps in the road. He lost to eventual champion Ivanisevic at Wimbledon last year.

Max Mirnyi (21), Belarussia, vs. Taylor Dent, United States
Mirnyi is better off on hard surfaces. He lost in the first round of the French Open. Dent, a young American with a hard serve, could score an upset.

Olivier Rochus, Belgium, vs. Christophe Rochus, Belgium
The Belgian brothers get the misfortune of facing off in round one. Look for Rochus to prevail.

Silvia Farina Elia (10), Italy, vs. Amy Frazier, United States
Frazier has made the third round of Wimbledon each of the past two years. She has fallen out of the rankings but remains a dangerous first round opponent.

Daniela Hantuchova (11), Slovakia, vs. Cristina Torrens-Valero, Spain
Torrens-Valero was good enough to be seeded in a Wimbledon warm-up event, and she made the third round two years ago. Hantuchova has greater pressure now as she climbs the rankings ladder. Last year, she lost in the second round at Wimbledon to Venus Williams, 6-3, 6-2.

Tatiana Panova (21), Russia, vs. Anna Kournikova, Russia
Panova lost 6-4, 6-4 to Jennifer Capriati in the third round at Wimbledon last year. Kournikova did not play Wimbledon last year; it's her luck to draw a seeded opponent in round one.

Barbara Schett (29), Austria, vs. Cara Black, Zimbabwe
Schett was tested in the first two rounds at Wimbledon last year. Expect another challenge here against an improving player.
