Age: Turned 20 last month.
Height/weight: 6-2, 188.
Residence: Newport Beach, Calif.
Career ATP record: 5-11.
2001 record: 3-4.
Of note: Clocked the fastest serve of the ATP season (142 mph) at the Ericsson Open in Miami against Andre Agassi. Lost to Agassi 6-4, 6-2 in the second round. Defeated veteran Wayne Ferreira in the first round of Indian Wells before falling to Gustavo Kuerten, last year's No. 1, in three sets. Beat Magnus Norman, last year's No. 4, in the first round at Chennai, India.
French Open status: A back injury forced Dent to miss French Open qualifying. He will attempt to qualify at Wimbledon, which is played on grass, his favorite surface.

Mardy Fish
Nike, searching for an eventual replacement for Pete Sampras, signed Mardy Fish to an endorsement deal this year.

French Open status: Lost in the first round of qualifying, 7-6 (3), 6-2, to Denmark's Kristian Pless.

Robbie Ginepri
Age: 18.
Height/weight: 5-11, 165.
Residence: Marietta, Ga.
Career ATP record: 0-2.
2001 record: 0-2.
Of note: Lost first-round matches at the Ericsson and in Houston. Lost the 2000 Junior U.S. Open final to Roddick. Won the Easter Bowl and U.S. Hardcourt 16s in 1999 and later the Easter Bowl 18s.
French Open status: Passed on qualifying to attend his high school graduation.

2001 record: 17-4, two titles (Atlanta, Houston).
Of note: Became the first American to win back-to-back ATP events on clay since Jim Courier in 1992, taking Atlanta and Houston in late April and early May. Currently ranked No. 28 in the ATP Champions race, while entry-system position is No. 48. Finished the 2000 season as the world's No. 1-ranked junior and won the Junior U.S. Open title.
French Open status: Has a perfect professional record of 10-0 on clay and is in the 128-player draw, based on his ranking.
