DALLAS (AP) _ Antonio Martinez set a Dallas record with three assists and Matt Jordan had his MLS-leading eighth shutout as the Burn beat New York/New Jersey 3-0 on Saturday night.

Joselito Vaca, Jason Kreis and Edward Johnson also scored to help the Burn improve to 8-9-4. The MetroStars dropped to 10-8-3.

Vaca opened the scoring in the 25th minute, beating two defenders and firing a 12-yard shot into the left corner.

Kreis scored on a header in the 34th minute, and Johnson completed the scoring in the 74th minute.
