Crew rallies past E-Quakes 2-1

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Robert Warzycha and Dante Washington scored less than two minutes apart late in the game Saturday night, giving the Columbus Crew a 2-1 Major League Soccer victory over the San Jose Earthquakes.

Warzycha scored his fourth goal on a penalty kick in the 83rd minute. Washington's 10th goal came in the 84th minute on a shot from eight yards out that stayed on the ground and squirted past San Jose goalkeeper Joe Cannon.

Wojtek Krakowiak opened the scoring for the Earthquakes (4-8-7) in the 48th minute with an unassisted goal, his third of the year, as he got to a loose ball first from 10 yards out.

Each team had 13 shots, with the Crew (7-8-4) holding a 7-4 lead in shots on goal. Cannon had five saves, while Crew goalkeeper Mark Dougherty stopped three shots.
