Mutiny share first place in Central

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Eric Quill scored in the 82nd minute as the Tampa Bay Mutiny beat Columbus 2-1 on Wednesday night to move into a first-place tie in Major League Soccer's Central Division.

Tampa Bay and Chicago (9-7-3) each have 30 points, eight more than third-place Columbus.

Quill beat goalkeeper Matt Napoleon with a left-foot shot after Steve Trittschuh's header deflected off the right post.

Mamadou Diallo gave Tampa Bay (10-8-0) a 1-0 lead during first-half injury time with his league-leading 16th goal.

Columbus (6-8-4) tied it in the 76th minute on Brian West's goal off a pass from Jeff Cunningham.
