Tampa Bay improves to 4-0 at home

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Manny Lagos scored two goals as the Tampa Bay Mutiny beat the San Jose Earthquakes 4-0 on Wednesday night in Major League Soccer.

Raul Diaz Arce and Mamadou Diallo also scored for Tampa Bay (4-3-0). The Mutiny are 4-0 at home, outscoring their opponents 14-3.

Diaz Arce scored his fourth goal of the season on a penalty kick in the eighth minute. Lagos scored on a header in the 14th-minute and added his fourth goal on a 20-yard shot in the 58th minute. Diallo scored in the 79th minute.

San Jose is 2-3-1 overall and 0-3-1 on the road. The Earthquakes have been shutout for the past 290 minutes on the road, with their lone road goal coming on a 90th-minute penalty kick by Ronald Cerritos in a season-opening 2-1 overtime loss at Columbus.

A crowd of 5,510 attended the game.
