ESPNDEPORTES.com adds new design, live scoring, and community section

ESPNdeportes.com, a Spanish-language sports site produced by ESPN Internet Group serving the Latin American and U.S. Hispanic communities, has implemented a new design, added live scoring for the NBA, Major League Baseball, NFL and Latin American soccer, and built a community section featuring live user chats, polls, and message boards. ESPNdeportes.com is part of the Walt Disney Internet Group (NYSE:DIG).

In addition, ESPNdeportes.com has included several new features that further complement ESPN's television efforts in Latin America, including complete television listings and programming highlights information, daily topic listings for SportsCenter Latin America, the ESPN World Club Top 25 feature, and an ESPN Perfiles section, containing the biographical information on the featured athletes from the monthly ESPN Latin America program of the same name.

The site also plans to introduce special event sections throughout the year, including unique design and bonus content for events such as the Copa America Soccer tournament. COPABA Tournament of the Americas, the Masters, French Open, NBA Finals, the MLB World Series, Argentine Polo Open and Americas' Cup Volleyball. These sections will yield attractive integrated sponsorship opportunities for ESPN advertisers across Internet and television platforms.
