If you can't sign a superstar to a multimillion-dollar contract, you can always alter your uniforms.

For the small-market Kansas City Royals, they've added some black to modernize their uniforms, gone to a sleeveless look for their road grays and added some subtle changes to their logo.

"Kids around the country are very much into this kind of new look," Mark Gorris, Royals senior vice president of business operations, told MLB.com.
