ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- The Calgary Flames aren't so invincible in overtime anymore. For the second game in a row and fourth time in their last seven overall, the Flames lost in OT -- 6-5 to the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim on Wednesday night -- after setting an NHL single-season record with 10 overtime victories. Oleg Tverdovsky scored a spectacular game-winner at 1:40 of the extra five-minute session, sending Calgary to its fifth straight loss overall. "We've played a lot better in overtime than we did tonight," coach Brian Sutter said of his team now riding a 10-game winless streak. "It was disappointing after building a lead in the third period." Fredrik Olausson scored the tying goal on a power play with six minutes left in regulation. Steve Rucchin had two goals and an assist for the Ducks and Paul Kariya had a goal and four assists. Kevin Haller ended a 41-game goal drought and Teemu Selanne extended his point-scoring streak to 12 games with a pair of assists, including his 700th NHL point. Selanne reached the milestone in his 541st game and became the third-fastest European-born player in the NHL to get 700 points. Slovakian great Peter Stastny needed only 456 games to do it after defecting from Czechoslovakia, and Jari Kurri accomplished it in 483 games after coming over from Finland. Jason Weimer scored twice for the Flames, who lost for the fifth straight time and eighth straight on the road -- despite rallying from behind three times against the Ducks. Clarke Wilm, Robyn Regehr and Jarome Iginla also scored for Calgary, 0-9-1 since its last victory on Jan. 24 at Boston. The Flames are a loss or a tie from matching their longest winless streak in club history, set in 1985-86. Olausson got the equalizer on a 55-foot shot that went through the skates of Calgary right wing Martin St. Louis and sneaked between goalie Fred Brathwaite's pads. "I've never seen a goal like that," Ducks coach Craig Hartsburg said. "It was an incredible play." Rucchin gave Anaheim a 4-3 lead with his second goal of the game. But the Flames tied the score for the third time just 33 seconds into the third. Weimer got a pass in the left circle from Shannon and took a high wrist shot that deflected off Guy Hebert's glove and over his shoulder. "It's a great win for us, but we have a lot of work to do in the defensive zone," Kariya said. "It wasn't Guy's strongest night, but we won the game and that's all that matters." Weimer then got his seventh goal of the season from in front of the net on a pass from Marc Savard while Anaheim defenseman Pavel Trnka was serving a tripping penalty. Kariya put the Ducks ahead 3-2 at 10:15 of the second, converting Selanne's pass from behind the net for his 35th goal. It came only seconds after Kariya was dumped in the neutral zone by Valeri Bure without getting a whistle from referee Bill McCreary. "Kariya and Selanne were unbelievable," Sutter said. "They were flying tonight and we had some problems with them." But Iginla tied the score at 3 and extended his point-scoring streak to a career-best eight games with his 16th goal at 17:02 of the second, flipping the puck over Hebert's stick for his 16th goal after the Anaheim goalie had trouble controlling a sharp-angle wrist shot from the right boards by Cale Hulse.
