Frederik Modin broke up the shutout with a third period power-play goal at 4:06. Mike Sillinger scored his 14th on a breakaway with 2:05 left. Hedican scored on Florida's second shot of the game, a soft slap shot from the left point that beat goalie Rich Parent low stick side at 2:13. Parent, acquired from St. Louis on Thursday for Stephane Richer, made his first start for Tampa Bay and 12th of his career. Parent, 26, had been scheduled to start Monday's IHL All-Star game but was called up to fill in for regular goalie Dan Cloutier. Cloutier was suspended four games for kicking Islanders forward Tim Connolly in Tampa Bay's victory Thursday night.
