The Seahawks, making their first appearance on Monday Night Football since 1992, head to Lambeau Field for the first times since 1981 as they face the Packers. The Packers own a one-game lead in the series standings (4-3) and posted a 31-10 triumph in 1996 at the Kingdome in the most recent clash between these clubs. The Seahawks own a 2-3 road record in this series dating back to 1976 (0-1 at Lambeau Field, 2-2 at Milwaukee), their only previous visit to Lambeau Field resulting in a 34-24 loss in 1981. Numbers: In their last 22 games dating back to 1998, Seahawks' defense/special teams have scored 16 touchdowns (10 interception returns, two fumble returns, three punt returns, one kickoff return). Since 1995 (80 games, including playoffs), Packers QB Brett Favre is 59-21, throwing for 145 touchdowns and just 46 interceptions in his 59 wins compared to 28 scores and 35 interceptions in 21 losses. Favre has thrown for 20,381 yards in those 80 games. Things to look for: While the focus of this evening will be on Mike Holmgren's return to the place where he won a Super Bowl title, this is a game between a pair of clubs looking to maintain their share of first place in the respective divisions. Seattle's quick and aggressive defense will get to QB Brett Favre on occasion, but a unit that's vulnerable to the run will have its hands full trying to slow down Packers RB Dorsey Levens. Etc.: The Seahawks are 11-5 lifetime on Monday Night Football, including 2-2 on the road. The Packers are making their first of three Monday night appearances this season and are 14-15-1 lifetime on Monday Night Football, including 6-3-1 at home. Including playoffs, Seahawks head coach Mike Holmgren is 47-5 at Lambeau Field (including 5-0 in playoffs). Holmgren is 21-9 in interconference games dating back to 1992 (1-1 in '99). Including playoffs (3-0), Holmgren owns a 41-20 record vs. NFC Central. The Seahawks are 13-8 vs. NFC teams dating back to 1994 (1-1 in '99). Since 1992 (including playoffs), the Packers are 50-5 at Lambeau Field (including 5-0 in playoffs). Including playoffs, Packers have won Packers have won 8 straight and 47 of their last 49 games at Lambeau Field. Since 1992, the Packers are 22-9 vs. AFC teams (23-10, including Super Bowls XXXI and XXXII). QB Brett Favre has started 115 consecutive game at quarterback, and with a start this evening will tie the NFL record (116), set by Philadelphia's Ron Jaworski (1977-84).
