| | Who was the Media Day star? ESPN.com
Media Day is when the personalities come out at the Super Bowl. With the international media as their audience, the players and coaches get an opportunity to show a different side of themselves -- one that could lead to a future in stand-up comedy.
Last year Tony Siragusa and Shannon Sharpe stole the Media Day spotlight in Tampa with their humorous and candid responses. So, we asked our panel of ESPN experts who played the starring role on Media Day.
Who was the darling of Media Day?
Mike Golic |
London Fletcher
He always gives a good answer. He's always smiling and laughing. There was nobody like Tony Siragusa or Shannon Sharpe this year, but Fletcher doesn't just give a pat answer and has a good time with it. He has an infectious personality.

Tom Jackson |
Troy Brown
Brown was the darling of Media Day because he's a tiny little reciever who's gaining star status even though he didn't get his invite to the Pro Bowl. Brown received a lot of attention Tuesday -- I don't know if people would have thought that would be the case eight weeks ago. Brown is a fairly quiet guy, and he looked like he had a good time with it. The Patriots looked very confident and very much at ease for a team that is a two-touchdown underdog.

Mike Tirico |
Bill Belichick
For a guy with a reputation for being uptight and not great with the media, Belichick was wonderful with the media. Belichick handled the whole QB controversy with a firm point of view and was still able to talk about everything else relatively candidly. After Media Day, I road down the elevator with him, and he talked about his kids and his family. Belichick is so at ease with the situation right now. Of all people, if you had told me in September that the Pats would be at the Super Bowl, I would have told you that Belichick would be uptight on Media Day, but he was as at ease as I've ever seen him.

Vinny Cerrato |
Adam Archuleta
The darling of Media Day must have been Archuleta because we could never get to him. He didn't move for an hour, but we still never got an interview with him. Everyone must have been asking him about his workout program. He was holding an apple in his hand, he got one bite out of it before he walked out there and didn't get another one after that.

Andrea Kremer |
No one
Since I parked myself in front of Drew Bledsoe for one hour, I didn't gauge the "darling" factor. I will say that Drew was not darling, but he was incredibly calm, patient and knew what he was getting into. He never got flustered. I walked away as impressed as you have to be with the way he was the whole season in terms of dealing with a difficult situation.

Sean Salisbury |
Torry Holt
He loves to talk, he's a good player, and he's not shy. I mean that as a compliment. I didn't even get to talk to him today; I went around and watched and listened. He gets my vote for his personality and sense of humor. Next, I would choose Tom Brady because of the attention he got. I also loved Kim Herring's enthusiasm.
