The matchup between Washington's offense and Tampa Bay's defense is a great one. On the other side, it is important for the Bucs offense to show up and pound the football at the Redskins' run defense. If they can keep the Redskins offense off the field, then they can handle this team. This "60 counter play" was made famous by the Redskins. The Bucs must run this play a half-dozen times at least in this game. This play is pound 'em football with the left tackle and left guard pulling to the six hole and seal off the scraping linebackers to give Mike Alstott room to get north and south. The offensive line cannot allow penetration or the play is finished. They must prevent free runners on defense so Alstott gets to have vision to the next level. The key to make "60 counter" work is the ability of the left tackle and left guard to get to the hole quickly without getting too much depth on their pull.
It is critical that the H back cut off the defensive end on his motion so the end can't chase down Alstott from behind. This is a slow developing play, so the H's block is important.
